Level 9 's attempt at the US market and Infocoms huge role there for adventure games. Remember this was at time in human history where the most sold of all game types at the time was ADVENTURE GAMES! And in the US it was all about the disk release, which Rainbird kinda solved nicely. They failed on packing thou, competing against Infocom and even Adventure International it had to look good - and add something extra. Plastic clam did nor speak to the average gamer. But the game itself. That's another story. A great game and with the wizard like programming behind that text compressing and was super fast, so technically, they were better than American adventure games. Who largely consisted of bitmap pictures, loading constant, making game play dull and boring. You had to have a backdrop and a good story. | Titles in this compilation |
