Rabbit Software
Rabbit Software was an English company which produced home computer games for machines such as the Commodore VIC-20, Sinclair ZX Spectrum, and Commodore 64 in the early to mid-1980s.
Rabbit's later software packaging was slightly different from that of the other software houses of the time, as the cassettes were encased within an outer red box which made them more distinctive on the shop shelves.

Rabbit went into liquidation around the same time Imagine had problems.
Eventually, Rabbit was acquired by Virgin Interactive.

HBH: There was some controversy related to the Victory software which Rabbit released in Europe. Victory took legal action since they got no money from them. Source: Home Computing Weekly : 8/11 1983.

Rabbit goes into liquidation. The founder Alan Savage died tragically earlier this year. (Source: Popular Computing Weekly 26. July 1984).

According to the news story, broken in Home Computer Weekly, issue 60, Alan took his own life shortly after a car accident, where he had driven into another car. He ran away from the scene on foot, leaving his girlfriend behind. He was later found nearby by police, hanging from a tree, dead. He had hung himself with his own belt.
