The Markt & Technik Verlag (since 2000: Markt + Technik) was a German Fachbuchverlag for technology and computer literature.

History

The publishing house was founded as Markt & Technik Verlag GmbH in 1976 and brought in spring 1984 as Markt & Technik AG on the German stock exchange.

In early 1994 changed the book and software activities of Markt & Technik Verlag AG for Paramount Publishing Germany GmbH in Roedermark, the German subsidiary of Paramount Publishing Inc., while the magazine division was maintained. In 1998 The magazine division changed its name to Magna Media AG, with the DMV-Verlag for WEKA publishing merged magazine group.

In WEKA Verlag end of the 1990s (around 1998) have been bundled several computer magazines as the "PCgo!", The "PC Magazine" (formerly "DOS"), the Games Magazine "Power Play" or "PC Player".
