Magic Bytes was a games label of the German software company Micro Partners with headquarters in Gütersloh in North Rhine-Westphalia.
History
Under the brand Magic Bytes appeared among others the games Beam, Blue Angel 69, Big Business, Cyber World, Dino Wars, Domination, Drilling Billy, Elysium, Mind Bender, Mini Golf, North Sea Inferno, Nightdawn, The Second World, Vampire's Empire and Wall Street.
Magic Bytes is best known for the comic-Western Games and the comic reactions Clever & Smart, Pink Panther, Tom & Jerry and the later hits USS John Young, Penthouse Hot Numbers, Biing! and Have a N.I.C.E. Day !.
The most successful games of the company were Blue Angel 69 of 1989, published three sequels of the up to 1994, and in 1990 published USS John Young.
Following the bankruptcy of micro-partners in 1991 were under the Magic Bytes label by the publisher R. Small tombs among others the games Sexy Droids, Penthouse Hot Numbers and Biing! published.
The previously announced Magic bytes games Industrial Rebound, European Journeys and American Journeys were never published.
Another label of the company micro-partner was Axxiom which 1988 Amiga games Gunshoot, Spin World, Tiple X and Powerstyx published
Magic Bytes was also Ariolasoft's in-house development team, who also released games on their own full-price label.
Dissolved in 1999.
