Keypunch was founded by Paul Rinde in 1984, and that he sold the company in 1989.
A budget ($10 - $15) software company, specializing in repackaging shareware for POS displays and developing custom games and productivity tools under the "Keypunch" (productivity), "Box Office" (licensed entertainment), and "Vision" (education) software lines.

Keypunch was one of the earliest shareware distributors, and occasionally redistributed commercial software as well. The company was based in Minnesota, USA.
